DUAL SLALOM ACTION
The other weekend, we joined the guys from Bike Polo (we did a blog on them a few months ago here) who had organised an informal mates race on some scrubland in Crookes. It was as basic as competition gets – a grassy field, some flags, and head to head Dual Slalom action. This is where two racers ride two identical tracks next to each other down a slope. Both riders times are taken, then they switch tracks. After the combined times are counted, the slowest rider is eliminated. The winner goes onto the next round, until there’s two riders left in the final.
The sun was out, the course ran well and beers were on hand, so we had a great time. One of the guys put together this short video of the day:
